Bio I was born on September 22, 1981 in Los Angeles, CA. But, I grew up in several different cities in South Florida. (I moved about 16 times by the time I was sixteen, and my family's not even military!) Apparently, I'm half Guyanese, 1/4 Italian, and 1/4 British. Though my parents were never big on staying in touch with family, so that's a rough estimate. (I couldn't even tell you what my either of my (deceased) grandmothers' full names were...) Maybe there's some French, but all I know for sure: my dad's white and my mom's black. I'm in the middle.
I graduated from Kansas City Art Institute 2003, with a BFA in painting. Now, I'm an illustrious cashier at an office supply store...too afraid and full of self-doubt to get a real job. But, on the ambitious side, I've written (and am in the process of editing) my first fantasy novel, with many more planned after it. Now if only I could find an agent and publisher, that would make this girl's heart flutter! In the meantime, I keep pushing those office supply products. Upsell! Upsell!
My ongoing love affair with books started in 1985 in Ft. Myers, FL. Since the neighborhood didn't have any libraries, they sent motorhomes stocked with books to trail the ice cream mobiles...
I currently live in Kansas City, MO, where I'm gathering a secret army of ninjas to help me take over the world.
